Liquid gravity filling is the simplest filling method. The operation of gravity filling machines allows them to run with a minimum of maintenance. The filling operation consists of, raising the containers on the platform until it contacts the filling nozzle. The platform then continues to raise the container against the stem, opening the filling valve and creating a seal against the container. With the filling valve open, the liquid drains into the container. The air in the container flows out trough the vent tube into the space above the liquid in the filler tank. At the predetermined time (adjustable timer) after the container is filled, it is lowered from its filling position, closing the filling nozzle. The amount of liquid filled in to the container is controlled by the size of the stem, in simple terms the container is filled to a level dictated by the breather hole this is adjusted by using packing seals. This machine is pneumatically powered
